Structural Changes of Alkali Lignin under Ozone Treatment and Effect of Ozone-Oxidized Alkali Lignin on Cellulose Digestibility

چکیده

In this study, the structural changes of alkali lignin induced by ozonation were investigated, and effect ozone-treated its mechanism on Avicel enzymatic hydrolysis was examined. The physicochemical properties analyzed FTIR, 1H-13C HSQC NMR, GPC. It revealed that ozone pretreatment increased content carboxyl and/or aldehyde groups negative zeta potential lignin, which enhanced electrostatic repulsion between cellulase; S/G ratio reduced, indicating hydrophobic interaction diminished. Langmuir adsorption isotherm showed cellulase binding strength pretreated (OL-pH3, OL-pH7, OL-pH12 16.67, 13.87, 44.05 mL/g, respectively) significantly lower than (161.29 mL/g). 72 h yields added with OL-pH3, 55.4%, 58.6%, 54.9% respectively, 2.6–6.3% higher AL (52.3%). This research aimed to reduce non-productive investigating caused treatment. For first time, we discovered has a further promotion digestion cellulose, providing green feasible process for lignocellulose aiding in more efficient utilization biomass.

Alkali-O2 oxidized lignin – A bio-based concrete plasticizer

Commercial wheat straw soda lignin was used to develop an alkali-O2 oxidation method to produce a ready-to-use solution for concrete plasticizing (cement dispersing). Lignin characterization was done directly from the solution. Depending on conditions, oxidation primarily induced either condensation or degradation of lignin. Thus, both the negative charge and the molar mass of the lignin were c...

Oxidation and Sulfomethylation of Alkali- Extracted Lignin from Corn Stalk

A lignosulfonate was prepared from alkali-extracted corn stalk lignin (AEL) by oxidation under mild conditions and sulfomethylation. The oxidized AEL exhibited lower molecular weight, narrower molecular weight distribution, and higher phenolic hydroxyl content than AEL, demonstrating that oxidized AEL was more reactive than those before oxidation. The content of sulfonic groups was significantl...

Cellulose and lignin biosynthesis is altered by ozone in wood of hybrid poplar (Populus tremula×alba)

Wood formation in trees is a dynamic process that is strongly affected by environmental factors. However, the impact of ozone on wood is poorly documented. The objective of this study was to assess the effects of ozone on wood formation by focusing on the two major wood components, cellulose and lignin, and analysing any anatomical modifications. Young hybrid poplars (Populus tremula × alba) we...
